University of Wisconsin Parkside Water Quality Ponds

University of Wisconsin Parkside
Kenosha, WI.

The University of Wisconsin Parkside was required to remove 40% of the annual total suspended solids load from its campus’s stormwater runoff. The ponds were designed to also act as an irrigation source for the adjoin athletic fields. The twin cell design allowed for 10-year  and greater storm flows to bypass the facility while lesser storms would be directed into the ponds for treatment and storage.
